We at Solar Bat Sunglasses are excited to begin this blog.  Sharing information about our sunglasses, sporting events in which our sunglasses are worn, the athletes who wear our sunglasses and vision care are just a few of the topics we will be covering in the future.

Do you recognize this gentleman?

A.J. Foyt, a legend in motorsports racing, was photographed wearing our Chevy 100th Anniversary sunglasses at the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race on Sunday, May 29, 2011.  It is such an honor to see him wearing our sunglasses! 

Mr. Foyt was the official pace car driver for the race this year.  This year is not only Chevy's 100th Anniversary, but the Indy 500 celebrated its 100th running as well.  It was only fitting that A.J. Foyt, an Indy 500 four time winner and a driver in 35 consecutive Indy 500 Mile races had the honor of being the pace car driver.

Summer is officially here and I asked our founder Dr. Gary Nesty, opometrist, if he had any words of advice for our opening blogpost.  He replied, "Be sure to take care of your eyes.  It is imperative that you wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays.  Protect your eyes, your most valuable asset."
